My first road bike, bought from the ‘compensation’ the Navy paid me. The original frame was blue and developed a crack after a few months. They replaced it under warranty. When they asked what colour I wanted the replacement to be, I said ‘anything but red’ - oh well, I learned to love it.
This bike got gradually upgraded from Shimano RSX to Ultegra until not a single original component was left. In 2007 it got retired in favour of the Master.
